I used to love Guitar Hero until I got Rock Band, and this would totally add to the overall experience. Great idea!

I am one of those many keyboard owners that can’t play. It is the Casio LK-300TV, with a built in practice software that displays on a TV.

Software on a PC would have much greater function then one that resides on a keyboard’s ROM. The keyboard is USB and the keys light up, but I don’t know if software from a computer can light the keys.

I can’t get cords right and would love to see software that helps me with this.

I always say this when playing rock band and the song gets to a part where there is absolutely nothing but a keyboard playing. There is a lot more keyboard in popular songs than you’d think.

It is a very good idea. Less than 2% of the people that owns a piano, knows how to play it. IÂ´ve been seen keybords by Casio that auto-perform and actually have lights that blink on the keyboard to try to teach the common user, but this idea is fenomenal. Somebody has to do it! Congratullations.

Interesting! Teaching someone to play the piano from within the context of a Guitar Hero-like environment… (I can already hear traditional music teachers recoiling in horror.) Rather than starting with extreme basics, I wonder if you could work up a system where the player “helps” to play segments of more complicated pieces. Then you work your way up to playing the whole thing yourself. A more formal understanding of what the player is picking up intuitively could be filled in later.
