You are a student on a college campus on a Halloween night when suddenly everyone turns into their costume and/or goes insane. You then embark around an eerie and twisted version of the campus where you have to navigate through strangely sprouting construction and run from large groups of costumed freaks and zombies. You can also collect costumes to wear for different abilities or to get into specific areas like what was a costume frat party; costumes can only be put on or switched when no enemies are around, and wearing a costume for too long will contribute towards getting a "bad" ending, where you lose yourself to the costume. Many endings will be available depending on your actions during the game, and you must complete missions such as stopping a group of former nerds who are now literally mad scientists from detonating a bomb. Enemies in the game will of course be dependent on their costume, and you run or evade large groups of intelligent enemies far more often than fighting - choosing to fight and killing too many enemies will get you the worst ending for killing what are in essence innocent people. Other costumed people can be helpful, such as angels being healers. One way to get around groups of enemies would simply be to manipulate them into running each other - if the groups hate each other they will fight amongst themselves, leaving you an opportunity to get past. The game would have plenty of opportunities for both horror and humor, with copious amounts of puzzle- and problem-solving.
